And here's the playbill from the same play (with essentially the same cast) when it played the Morosco Theater on Broadway
(though technically NO Broadway theaters are actually ON Broadway -- they're all hidden on the numbered streets of the W.
40s or, a couple, like the Winter Garden, on 7th Avenue). Alas, the Morosco, like the Helen Hayes and other lovely small
old theaters, went victim to the wrecking ball years ago, and where they once were is the behemoth of the Marriott Marquis.
And for those with some knowledge of modern day theater prices, please note the ad on the bottom of the last page, which
refers to the THIRTY DOLLAR ticket prices (Though lol I did see "The King and I" and The Suicide with Derek Jacobi
(and incidentally, Grayson Hall) for about half of that -- though it seemed like a LOT of money for the broke high school
kid I was then.)We don't talk about the FOUR DOLLAR ticket price for Equus (the days of student discounts, when you could
see Star Wars, or Equus with Nimoy, Tony Perkins, or Anthony Hopkins for the same price).
